This temple is a place dedicated to the worship of God. All the temples in Rishikesh are famous for various reasons like Aarti, Havan and chanting of mantras. People come to temples for seeking inner harmony and peace within themselves.

1. Raghunath Temple

 

Located near Triveni Ghat, Raghunath temple is one of the important temples of Rishikesh. According to locals, it is the place where three rivers meet, the Ganges, the Yamuna and the Saraswati.

2. Hanuman Mandir

 

The temple was built in 1924 at Maya Kund. It was founded by Swami Ramdas or Oriya Baba. Devotees come here every Tuesday to worship the revered Lord Hanuman Ji.

3. Parmarth Niketan Temple

 

Located in Swargashram, every evening, people gather at Parmarth Niketan Temple for Ganga Aarti. It is not only a spiritual paradise but also provides education, healthcare and training and for those in need.

4. Bharat Mandir Rishikesh

 

It is located at a distance of half a kilometre from Triveni Ghat. According to historical sources, Adi Guru Shankaracharya laid the foundation of the Bharat Mandir in the 12th century. The temple was named “Bharat” who is the second brother of Rama.

5. Tera Manzil Temple

 

Also known as the Trayambakeshwar Temple, The Tera Manzil Temple is decorated with idols of various Hindu deities. Located near the Lakshmana Jhula Bridge, the temple offers a beautiful view of the sunset from the topmost floor.

6. Triveni Ghat

 

The Ganges meets the Yamuna and the Saraswati at Triveni Ghat. Pilgrims come here for the holy bath to wash away their sins.

7. Veerbhadra Mandir

 

Veerbhadra Temple is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located in the town of Veerbhadra near Rishikesh in Uttarakhand. During Shivratri & Sawan, Nightlong Jagran and special pujas are held at this temple at night. The meal is offered during the Mahashivratri festival.
